Itinerary
Day 1| Patna (arrival)
Arrive at Patna Airport/Railway Station, on arrival Visit Bihar representative will assist you in get transferred to your car. Then get driven to hotel for your smooth check in. Later drive to Kamaldah for the temple dedicated to Sri Sthulabhadra. In Evening back to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2| Patna – Vaishali – Rajgir
Today after breakfast check out from hotel and get driven to Vasokund or Kundgrama in Vaishali. It has been identified as the birthplace of Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism (599-527 B.C). Later get driven to Rajgir, En-route visit Kundalpur Jain Temple in Nalanda, It has been identified as the birthplace of Gautam Gandharv. Later get driven to Rajgir, on arrival check in to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3| Rajgir – Pawapuri – Rajgir
Today after breakfast start city tour of Rajgir. Rajgir is situated in the middle of 5 Hills and each hill is associated with Jain Temples. Visit Veerayatan, Sone Bhandar, and Maniar Math and do some trek to visit the sacred Jain Temple situated in top of hills. Later in afternoon dive to Pawapuri, visit Samosaran and Jalmandir. Later drive back to Rajgir for overnight stay.
Day 4| Rajgir – Gunavajee, Nawada – Parasnath
Today after breakfast meet our driver at reception area. He will then take you to Parasnath. En-route visit temple in Gunavajee. Later reach Parasnath or Madhuban, on arrival checks in to hotel. Evening you may explore the foothills of Madhuban village with Visit Jain Museum that displays a number of scripts, icons and manuscripts. The telescope installed at the balcony of the museum, provides a clear view of the temple of Parasnath, at the peak of the hills. Overnight stay at Madhuban.
Day 5| Parasnath/ Madhuban
Today after breakfast get ready for the visit of Shree Sammed Shikharji, one of the most revered sites of the Jains, rest on the highest hills of Parasnath. The one way arduous trek is about 9 km, you may take “Dolis” to ferry you across the height taking you to the peak. Return back to Madhuban for overnight stay.
Day 6| Parasnath/ Madhuban – Lacchaur
Today after breakfast check out from hotel/dharamsala and get transfer to Lacchaur a village situated 7 km south of Sikandara in the Jamui district. Check in at Dharamsala in Lacchaur.
Some Jains hold Lacchaur to be the birth place of Lord Mahavira Swami, the 24th Tirthankara of the Jains. Two Jain Temples, Known as “Muth Buddhroop” and Muth Purusnath” situated some 5 kms south in a picturesque valley between two parallel ranges of hills.
Overnight stay in Lacchaur.
Day 7| Lacchaur – Mandar Hill – Bhagalpur
Today after breakfast check out and get driven to Bhagalpur. En-route visit Mandar Hill at Bausi, Banka. It is believe that the 12th Jain Tirthankara Vasupujya attained Nirvana at this place. A temple is situated at about 800 feet high hillock called Mandar Hill. It is believed to have served as a churing rod at the time of Devas and Asuras.
Later reach Bhagalpur, check in at hotel for overnight stay.
Day 8| Bhagalpur – Champanagar – Bhagalpur
After breakfast take an excursion tour of Champanagar. It is very sacred place for Jains and said to be the birth place of 12th Jain Tirthankar Vasupujya Nath. In the Kalpa-sutra Champa is mentioned as one of the places where Tirthankara Mahavira stayed for three rainy seasons in the course of his religious wanderings. Visit the Shwetambar and Digambar Jain temple. Later back to Bhagalpur for overnight stay.
Day 9| Bhagalpur – Patna (departure)
Today after breakfast check out from hotel and get ready for departure at Bhagalpur Railway station for your onwards journey to Home.
