Nepura : Nepura is new destination in Bihar for unique rural tourism experience. The families of Nepura retained their age-old traditional art of “Tassar Silk” weaving, which was very popular in Buddhist times. In this village young girls and women rubbing silk yarn on their things to make it a soft thread. These thread are used in making monks dress, monk’s bag. Women in this village are equally making other artistic things for tourist Interest.
Itinerary :
Day 1| Patna – Nepura
Our arrival at Patna Airport/Railway Station, meet and greet by Visit Bihar tour representative. He will assist you in getting transferred to your car for road drive to Nepura (nearest place from Rajgir). On arrival meet and greet by our representative, we had arranged a rural family home for your stay in Nepura to give an experience of Rural life in Ancient Magadh Region during your stay. Later experience a village culture and their live hoods in Nepura Tourist Village. You will find families who retained their old age tradition art of “Tassar Silk Weaving”. Young girls and women rub silk yarn and make it a soft thread. You may also get change to make soft tassar silk thread or buy some tassar silk products of household items. Enjoy authentic local cuisine for your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2| Nepura – Nalanda – Rajgir – Nepura
Today after breakfast get ready for full day visit of this ancient land of Magadha Dynasty. Start with the visit of Ruins of Nalanda University and Nalanda Museum. Later reach Rajgir or Rajagrih. It is located in a verdant valley surrounded by rocky hills which contains natural, religious and archaeological sites. Visit Cyclopean wall, the 40 km long wall encircles ancient Rajgir. Built with massive pieces of stones, it was constructed before Mauryan Era. Also visit Venu Van, Hot Sulpher Spring at the foot of Vaibhav Hill, Ajatashatru’s Fort, Swarna Bhandar etc. Evening drive back to Nepura Village for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3| Nepura – Patna (departure)
Today after morning breakfast say goodbye for the hospitality provided by family of Nepura Tourist Village and drive straight to Patna. On arrival drop off at Railway Station or Airport for your onwards journey to home.
