Itinerary

Day 1 : Patna (arrival)

Arrive at Patna Airport/Railway Station, on arrival Visit Bihar tour representative will assist you in getting transferred to your car. Then get driven to hotel for your smooth check in. Later drive to Kumhrar, Golghar, Bihar Museum and Patna Museum for visit of archaeological remains of the region. In Evening back to hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 2 : Patna – Barabar – Kauva Dol – Bodhgaya

Today after breakfast check out from hotel and get driven to Barabar. Start guided tour of Barabar Hills, visit the world-famous seven rock cut caves of Mauryan Era. If interested in trek then visit Siddheshwarnath Temple, this temple is an above 1200 ft and attracted the attention of pilgrims even before the advent of Buddhism. Also visit Kauva Dol, it is a name of the hill situated about a mile south-west of the Barabar Hills. See the rock carved, rather rudely, numerous figure representing mostly Hindu deities like Hara-Gauri, Mahishasurmardini, Durga, Ganesha, Buddha etc. A 6ft high lord Buddha Statue is also worth to see at Kauva Dol. Later drive to Bodhgaya, check in and overnight stay.

 

Day 3 : Bodhgaya – Gaya – Bodhgaya

After breakfast get ready for a guided tour of Archaeological important place in region. Start the day with the visit of Mahabodhi Temple Complex, Archeological Museum in Bodhgaya, Later drive to Gaya Town for Vishnupad Temple and Gaya Museum. If time permit take a short road drive to Patharkatti Village which is famous for his stone artist village, experience the making of Stone sculpture. Evening come back to hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 4 : Bodhgaya – Aurangabad – Sasaram

Today after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Sasaram. En-route visit Deo Sun Temple, which is believe to be built in 8th century AD by Chandravanshi King Bhairavendra Singh. Later reach Sasaram – “Where Great Kings once lived. After lunch, start city tour of Sasaram, visit Sher Shah Suri’s Mausoleum, Hasan Khan Suri Tomb, Tomb of Salim Shah and Alwal Khan Tomb which is of a fine piece of Pathan architect founded in India.

Overnight stay at hotel in Sasaram.

Day 5 : Sasaram – Rohtasgarh Fort – Sasaram (70 kms one way)

After early breakfast start your guided trek tour to Rohtasgarh Fort. The fort is situated approx 1500 feet above Kaimur Plateau at a distance of 70 km from Sasaram. On the top of the hill you will visit Hathiya Pol, Barahduari, Aina Mahal, Jami Majid, Tomb of Sufi Sultan, Ganesh Temple and Hanging House. Packed snacks will be advisable to keep during trek. Later in evening back to Sasaram for overnight stay.

Day 6 : Sasaram – Varanasi /Patna (departure)

Today after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Varanasi/Patna. On arrival at drop off you at Airport or Railway Station for your onwards journey to Home.
